My name is Ann Wolta Blackstone and I am an LPGA Teaching Professional and the Varsity Coach for St. Mary’s High School Girls Golf team. I am married to Tom Blackstone and the mother of two children ages 30 and 34.
I started my journey with golf at age 10. Growing up in Arizona, I played competitively in both junior and high school girls’ golf, winning the Arizona State Girls Golf Tournament as a senior. I received a scholarship and continued to play competitively on the Arizona State University Women’s Golf Team. After graduation I moved to Colorado and became an LPGA Teaching Professional and for the last 35 years I have been teaching men, women and juniors in the Denver area. During this time I have been able to achieve the highest status in the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division; Class A/Life Teaching Professional.
My golf career has had many milestone moments. In both 1994 & 2000 I received the LPGA Teacher of the Year award and in 2005 Golf Magazine’s Top Teacher award. Besides teaching, I started a women’s golf store called “Golf for Her”, and am the Director of both the LPGA Girls Golf Club in Denver and the Southglenn Junior Golf Program. As a two time breast cancer survivor, I am proud to be the Tournament Director of the Indian Tree Rally for the Cure golf tournament. This tournament raises money for women and men battling breast cancer in Colorado.
For the members at Southglenn I offer private, semi-private, group and junior golf lessons. Whether you are a seasoned golfer needing a tune up or brand new to the game I look forward to working with you. To schedule a lesson call (303)940-8626 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
